ARKTOS has been raising money for local AIDS Charities within Northeastern Ohio's LGBT community with our fundraising efforts.   We have raised over $10,000 in our history.

 The Club ARKTOS is a group of gay men who have a mutual interest in bear like men, who are themselves bear-like men, and / or who possess what is commonly called bear attitude: an acceptance and pride in being gay, the understanding of the tenuousness of life and the desire to live it fully and richly, and the willingness to contribute to the Club and one’s communities.  The purposes of the Club are to provide a social group for the members, to promote friendships among the members, and to serve others through contribution, support, and education.

The ARKTOS brothers work hard to support the gay community through their events held both locally - in Cleveland, Akron and Canton - as well as in other nearby cities such as Toledo, Columbus, Toronto, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati and Rochester.

We raise hundreds of dollars through raffle ticket sales and our Butt Mural auction which we give to the local charity who help those who are living with HIV and AIDS.

For 2007, we are moving our Bear Run - Bears in the Woods XIV, yes, the thirteenth!  To Roseland Resort in Proctor, WV.  "It's all about the view!" atop the beautiful hills of WV.   This years beneficiary of our run will be the Ohio Valley AIDS Coalition.

Our last run included tried and true events such as the often imitated but never duplicated ARKTOS Butt Murals, and the now classic Watermelon Fisting event, as well as newer events like Bondage Volleyball.
